Sports lighting

We manufacture net poles and floodlighting masts. Our root mounted and flange mounted masts are suitable for sports lighting, broadband aerials, telecommunication, wind turbines and a range of other applications. We have also recently added a range of base-hinged hydraulically lowered and raised columns to our range. Lowering and raising columns are suitable for pitches with hard to access areas and allow essential maintenance to be carried out at ground level. High mast lighting is the most efficient method of lighting large areas with a minimum number of obstructions.

Application: Football grounds and stadiums, rugby pitches, tennis courts all benefit from the Piltown Engineering floodlighting approach.

Dynamic functionality

Available with standard frame door or oval door to accommodate gear trays within the column. T bars for 2No—10No fittings are available to suit. The base compartment is large enough to offer easy access to the equipment, which can be mounted on the hardwood baseboard within.

Built to last

The compartment has a welded-in frame with recessed weatherstrip, with a flat steel door fitted and secured by two triangular headed stainless steel bolts The column is galvanised internally and externally to BS EN 1461 Foundation guidelines and rag bolt set details can be provided on request. Pillars to house gear trays available pole-mounted or ground-based.

Masts are ideal

  • To illuminate large areas with minimum obstructions.
  • Can be used in confined spaces and do not require a large area to be cleared.
  • Any height mast shaft from 10m to 30m manufactured by us to whatever specification is required.
  • Mast and fittings can be maintained easily for greater safety.
  • Modern luminaries have a minimum of over 5,000 hrs lumination, this reduces yearly servicing.
